International Women's Day

Registration Timeline: Thursday, February 22 to Monday, March 5, 2018. Please note due to technical issues with our website that we will continue to accept registration requests past the deadline.
Confirmations are scheduled to be sent to worksite coordinators by end of day, Tuesday, March 6. If you have not received your confirmation by end of day Tuesday, March 6, please send an email to confirm that your registration has been received.
Registration Fee/Charity: In lieu of a registration fee, we are collecting monetary donations for our selected charity. Our charity this year will be Harbour House. We will be happy to accept monetary donations or new or gently used items that you believe would help.
Harbour House is a transition house that aims to provide, operate and maintain safe temporary housing for women who are victims of violence and their children. They also provide security, support and counseling to women who have been victims of abuse and to help them become self sufficient.

Exhibitors: Information booths from various organizations will be on display. They may offer prizes or items for sale. For more information visit: IWD Exhibitors
Lunch Options: Lunch will be available for purchase at Juno Tower.
Parking: There is a section of parking that will be provided at the Stadacona Base free of charge. Once we have more details, we will let you know.
Opening Plenary: The International Women's Day Organizing Committee is happy to announce that Jennifer Howard, Executive Director for the Public Service Alliance of Canada and a prior elected official for the Manitoba Legislature, will be our keynote speaker this year. Jennifer Howard will be speaking on our theme, “Strong Women for Change: End the Violence, Do it Now!”
Special Considerations: This activity is Barrier Free. Please identify specific requests with your registration. American Sign Language may be provided for the plenary and for the workshops on request. It is very important that you indicate your requirement for this or any other accommodation requests on your registration submission.
