Here we will highlight various issues or campaigns that our Local has participated in.

I would like to express a very heartfelt "Thank you!!" to all of our members who participated in the Strike while either picketing or performing other strike related activities.  The support that was demonstrated really made a difference for me and for your fellow members.   Your commitment did not go unrecognized.  - Rhonda (Queen Square Strike Captain)

Three local scholarships were presented for 2004. 

$700 was awarded to Patrick Nicholson, son of Kevin Nicholson. Patrick is studying for a Bachelor of Computer Science, at Dalhousie.

$500 was awarded to Charlene Rockwell, daughter of Gerry Rockwell. Charlene is in the Bachelor of Fine Arts program at Concordia.

$300 was awarded to Greg George, son of Andy George. Greg is in the Bachelor of Music program at Acadia.

We wish these recipients every success in their chosen field of studies.
