Registration Fee

In lieu of a registration fee, we are collecting donations for Bryony House.

Bryony House is a 24 bed shelter for abused women and their children. Established in 1978 the Halifax Transition House Association opened Bryony House as the first transition house in Nova Scotia.

Each year Bryony House offers safety and shelter to approximately 450 women and children and answers over 4500 distress calls. The women come from many walks of life, socio-economic classes and cultural backgrounds. The issue they have in common is that they are in, or are fleeing, an abusive intimate relationship.

We are proud to support the Halifax Assistance Fund as our charity of choice for 2009.

More information may be found on their website at http://www.bryonyhouse.ca/ . Your contribution is appreciated.
