Every year, 8 March is celebrated around the world as International Women's Day.  This day provides an opportunity to focus upon and remember the struggle of women throughout to the world.  It is a chance for us to review the progress that women have made in their struggle for peace, equal rights and social advancement and it gives us the opportunity to celebrate the gains that women have made.

This year we will be celebrating on Friday, March 11 and we are excited to have available many educational and interesting workshops to help us with our celebration.

Nova Scotia women from Federal Departments, Agencies, Federal Crown Corporations, the Military, the Public Service Alliance of Canada, and their retirees are invited to attend this year's International Women's Day celebration.

This year we will be celebrating at the Westin, Nova Scotia on March 11, 2005.  Please join us to celebrate our achievements, network with other women and have a great learning experience!

Time to Focus:

Women are half the world's people
who do two-thirds of the world's work.
They earn one tenth of the world's income
and own one hundredth of the world's property.
